New Zealand manufacturer Salthouse delivers its first quadrupal IPS vessel to the Gold Coast. Seamech attended to provide skipper introduction and service all four engines as well as two generators.
With forward-facing propellers and steerable drive units, Volvo Penta IPS is now a very strong force in the boating industry.

Volvo Penta Powers Smashes Trans-Tasman Record
A RIB boat powered by Volvo Penta's new diesel engines has broken the speed record between Australia and New Zealand. It took the boat 40 hours, 31 minutes and 26 seconds to cover the 1,275 nautical miles.

The record was set in a newly built 12.5 metre Rayglass RIB boat with a top speed of 52 knots.
The boat is equipped with a twin installation of Volvo Penta D6-350 diesel engines.
